Napoleonic Encampment Activities
(Presented by the Australian Napoleonic Association)
Saturday

The British & allies Camp Flag-raising and musket volley by the 73rd Regiment of Foot.
(Venue: British allied Brigade HQ)
1045-1215
Divisional drill. (Present arms, forward march, turn left, halt! You know what we mean)
(Venue: Battleground)
Children’s Workshop: Kids get to practice traditional craft & make a shako to wear. (A shako is the head dress that soldiers used to wear)
(Venue: Meet at ANA Tent)
1300-1400
Battle of Lithgow. Venue battleground
1400-1600
In camp activities:
1. Kitchen at work
2. “Take the Kings shilling!” Kids drill (1500hrs)
(Venue: near ANA tent Host unit 73rd Regiment of Foot
3. “Make your mark here” Kids have a medical check and fill out their regimental enlistment papers
