Lithgow's Waste to Art 2011 Competition Exhibition

Exhibition 3 May to 16 May 2011

Open 10?4, Wednesday to Sunday.

The annual Waste to Art competition and exhibition, where people recycle discarded materials into fabulous art objects, is underway for 2011. Free introductory workshops, guided by artist Jane Davidson, will be held at Eskbank House on Wednesday 23 and Saturday 26 February, from 10.00am to 12.00midday. (Saturday workshop is especially for children ? those under 10 must be accompanied).  

Competition entries close at 2pm, 27 April, at Eskbank House, corner Bennett and Inch Street Lithgow.

Works will be exhibited from 3 May to 16 May 2011.

Winners will go on to compete in the regional competition in June, this year to be held in Grenfell.

Zig Zag Railway’s Wizard’s Express

This exciting journey on the Wizards Express is two hours of magical fun and laughter combined with a train ride, departing Platform 9 3/4, Clarence Station, Blue Mountains NSW. Sat May 14 & other dates (Click here) for more details.

Before boarding the train, prospective house members will be put under the sorting hat for carriage selection prior to Hagrid checking and seeing the train away on its journey. Food, such as lizards, worms, frogs, sows ears etc. will be served on the move.

Be entranced and intrigued by professional magicians and try your own hand at wizardry.
