Singer Songwriters Night

Next Monday evening

Monday 5th of March 2012 from 7.30pm

 

As the Ides of March approaches, beware of political assassination. No assassination to worry about? Good, then lets just enjoy another magical musical evening and have a good time. The ides of March may be approaching, (15th March) but the music night will come first. Next Monday in fact.

 

Well the last few Mondays have been real memorable major music affairs in the best way!!!.

17 acts last time and a great audience it was another big night and a great vibe.

Once again,...The talent on these nights is amazing and we have to once again give a Big THANK YOU!!! to everyone who's contribute in making these nights so outstanding,  both performers and audience.

 

Looking forward to next Mondays Songwriters Night!!!! (5th March)

At Hotel Gearin (Katoomba)

    * next to Katoomba Station.

 

Louie does a top job on the sound and the stage accommodates bands really well.

The room is really great with couches and tables for dinner.

Also the Hotel Gearin is offering a special rate for performers  if you want to stay the night.

The Hotel Gearin is right on the station at Katoomba and next to the Great Western Highway... and Great food.

What we (Pennie and Bruno) intend with these nights at the Gearin Hotel in Katoomba, is to enable creative memorable entertaining nights from the best well of inspiring music; direct from the songwriters. Published and unpublished music played by the songwriter, a meeting of new music and creating an enjoyable rich environment.

 

Please be early to sign-in if you want to perform. Sign-in from 6.30pm.

Lithgow's Waste to Art 2012 Competition Exhibition

 

Exhibition 7th to 26th April 2012 at Eskbank House & Museum,

corner Bennett and Inch Street Lithgow.

Open 10am to 4pm, Wednesday to Sunday.

 

The annual Waste to Art competition and exhibition,

where people recycle discarded materials into fabulous art objects,

is underway for 2012. 

 

Competition entries close at 2pm, 23 March, 

Artwork delivery on 4th April. Entry forms downloadable from (here).

Spirit of Distinction

 

Event starts at Clarence Station, on Bell's Line of Road near Lithgow at 3:30pm on May 19th 2012 for an afternoon tea prior to a 4:30 departure on the luxury 'Spirit of Distinction'.

 

There will be a small steampunk market at Clarence station while passengers arrive for afternoon tea.

 

This time, the event will incorporate the inaugural Hunt for the Famous Lithgovian Panther, the mysterious and ferocious big cat loose in the Wilds of Lithgovia. Bring your Daguerrotype cameras and/or your Tesla rayguns and sturdy bushwalking shoes. The 'hunt' will take place after the afternoon tea on the platform. The hunting ground is a well marked walking track between Clarence station and Bottom Points station. The 'hunt' will not be compulsory for those passengers who might prefer to travel in comfort to Bottom Points. At Bottom Points, the hunting party will rejoin the Spirit of Distinction party for supper and return train to Clarence. The party will then take another return steam train trip from Clarence to Bottom Points, just for fun.

 

Afternoon tea and supper will be provided.

B.Y.O. alcoholic beverages.
